JOHN NELSON’S LIVE MUSIC COLUMN: Hop to it with kicking country, rock

SUMMER. AHHH, GLORIOUS summer is finally here this weekend.

We can kick off our shoes and walk barefoot on the grass.

Better yet, we can kick up our heels and dance to live music as more and more opportunities take place outside in the form of community concerts, open-air beer gardens, fairs and special events.

Dancing in the fresh air gives you a great feeling.

Currently, the DNR is evaluating Wright's claim that there is a rare plant community in one of the units, which would qualify the parcel for automatic protection from logging. Locating rare plant communities is just one of the methods environmental activists use to protect what they call "legacy forests." (Joshua Wright)
