Jefferson:More maintenance planned for Hood Canal Bridge

Bridge inspectors will continue maintenance testing of the Hood Canal Bridge draw span on state Highway 104 Thursday.

The bridge will be closed between 12:01 a.m. and 4 a.m.

Transportation officials said motorists should expect highway closures of up to 90 minutes during the early morning work hours.

Crews testing the electrical and mechanical systems that work the draw span were unable to complete their work last Thursday.

Motorists should consider delaying their trips or planning an alternate route along U.S. Highway 101 around Hood Canal.
