PORT TOWNSEND — Finding a replacement for Jefferson County’s first woman commissioner is breaking political ground again.
This time, it’s for County Commissioners Dan Titterness and Glen Huntingford.
“I expect we will interview (nominees) sometime in the future,” said Titterness, R-Port Townsend, on Sunday.
“But never having been through this . . . .”
Under the state constitution, Titterness and Huntingford, R-Chimacum, have 60 days to replace Wendi Wrinkle, D-Shine, who resigned Friday after only five months as a District 3 commissioner.
Wrinkle cited health problems that require “appropriate lifestyle changes.”
Her resignation is effective June 15.
