The Albert Haller Foundation is accepting applications for funding of nonprofit agencies providing services to the poor and needy in Clallam County.
Completed applications are due to United Way of Clallam County by Friday, June 29.
Information on the revised 2012 application process will be offered at a bidder’s conferences offered on two dates: at 3 p.m. May 24 and at 9:30 a.m. June 14.
The conferences will be located at the Peninsula Behavioral Health multipurpose room, 118 E. Eighth St., Port Angeles.
Albert Haller was born in Clallam County in 1903 and worked in the logging industry during the era of horses and steam donkeys.
He and his wife left an ongoing legacy to the people of Clallam County.
Foundation grants are given annually to charitable organizations in ÂClallam County, with priority to those organizations providing food, housing, clothing, medical care and other programs that may enrich the lives of the poor and needy in the county.
The amount to be distributed varies annually, depending on the earnings of the foundation’s endowment fund.
The maximum allowable grant request is $17,000 for 2012.
United Way of Clallam County serves as adviser to the Haller Foundation’s board in making recommendations for grant funding.
