FORKS — A private museum collection more than 60 years in the making opens to the public this weekend.
Ted Spoelstra will open his collection, which includes perfectly preserved antique tractors, cars, steam engines, music machines, gas pumps, signs, timber equipment and other practical objects, to raise money for the North Olympic Timber Action Committee’s scholarship fund.
The collection will be open Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
A $5 admission fee per person will be charged.
The private museum is located on Klahn Road, just off U.S. Highway 101 three miles outside of Forks.
Organizers plan to place signs along the highway to direct people to the event.
