Classical pianist to perform at Peninsula College

PORT ANGELES — Tickets are still available for pianist Alexander Tutunov’s concert of Beethoven, Brahms, Glinka, Bach, Tchaikovsky and Prokofiev this Saturday evening.

The music will start at 7 p.m. in Maier Hall at Peninsula College, 1502 E. Lauridsen Blvd., with a reception afterward.

Symphony benefit

Tickets are $50 to benefit the Port Angeles Symphony, and will include appetizers and Camaraderie Cellars wines following the concert.

Tutunov, a first-prize winner of the Belarusian National Piano Competition, was educated at the Moscow Conservatory.

He now teaches at Southern Oregon University in Ashland.
