PORT ANGELES — Voters in Clallam County had returned 9,448 primary ballots, or 20 percent, of the 47,132 mailed to registered voters as of Tuesday, County Auditor Patty Rosand said.
That total includes 1,117 that arrived Tuesday.
In Jefferson County, 5,958 primary ballots, or 26 percent, of the 22,871 mailed had been returned, election officials said.
Ballots must be postmarked for the all-mail primary by next Tuesday.
Ballots can also be dropped off by 8 p.m. that day at one of the following locations:
■ Clallam County Courthouse, 223 E. Fourth St., Port Angeles.
■ Sequim Village Shopping Center, 609 W. Washington St., near the city’s utility payment drop box in the J.C. Penney parking lot.
■ Forks District Court, 502 E. Division St.
All registered voters should now have a ballot, Rosand said.
Anyone who has not received a ballot should phone the Auditor’s Office at 360-417-2221 for a replacement ballot or stop by the Auditor’s Office in the county courthouse.
Information about the election is available in the PDN’s Primary Election Voter Guide, published earlier this month.
