Clallam County spent an estimated $135,000 to prosecute Thomas Martin Roberts for murdering deputy Wallace E. Davis.
Roberts’ was convicted Thursday of aggravated first-degree murder two years and three months after he killed Davis.
The costs reflect attorney fees, jury costs and expert services, according to court officials.
That includes about $15,000 to select an Island County jury, transport jurors from Whidbey Island and board them at a Port Angeles motel for eight nights during the three-week trial, Superior Court Administrator Lindy Clevenger said.
