Firefighter/EMT Tyler Gear rappels off the Elwha River Bridge during technical rescue training.
Clallam 2 Fire Rescue recently conducted technical rope rescue training for 13 firefighters.
The 40-hour training course covered techniques to rescue both injured and uninjured people.
According to a press release, the training was conducted at several locations around the county, including the Elwha River and the Salt Creek Recreation Area.
With this training, these firefighters can work with the Homeland Security Region 2 technical rescue team.
