The Port Townsend war protester who put herself up for arrest after a sit-in at the entrance to the Indian Island Navy base Monday has not been charged.
A clerk in the Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office said the office is reviewing a police report about Anna Bachmann, 40. But no charges were filed in District Court on Tuesday.
Bachmann, who earlier said she planned to commit the act of civil disobedience, was not in jail Tuesday and could not be reached for comment.
She was one of 29 protesters who gathered outside Naval Magazine Indian Island, but was the only person who blocked the road to the ordnance center’s gate.
Jefferson County Sheriff’s Sgt. Rick Smith said at the time that she was being arrested for disorderly conduct.
