CARLSBORG — The Pumpkin Patch corn maze has fallen prey to vandals, prompting owners to reconsider the maze’s future.
On Friday and again on Saturday, visitors to the labyrinth broke corn stalks and picked and scattered ears of corn, putting a damper on months of hard work, owners said.
“It’s just frustrating,” said Phil Lassila, who owns the patch at the northeast corner of U.S. Highway 101 and Kitchen-Dick Road. “All we want to do is make this place habitable for everybody, not just a few.”
