CARLSBORG — A contingent of 24 pastors and elders will attend a hearing today at which the pastor of King’s Way Foursquare Church appeals a Clallam County hearing examiner’s decision restricting use of a proposed retreat and youth camp.
“This represents several thousand people standing behind us,” said the Rev. Mike VanProyen. “In the Christian circle this is being watched more than people realize.”
County commissioners will consider the matter at their 10 a.m. meeting. It’s an appeal of Hearing Examiner Ted Hunter’s decision on the church’s proposal for 16.4 acres off Kitchen-Dick Road, north of U.S. Highway 101.
