C-c-cold! Even daytime high temperatures won’t get much above freezing this week

Even though winter doesn’t officially start for two more weeks, the North Olympic Peninsula is deep into a deep freeze that will continue this week.

Although no precipitation is forecast through Friday daytime by the National Weather Service, temperatures during the days and definitely nighttime will hover around the freezing mark.

That, of course, continues icy conditions on roads — particularly those in shadows which never dried from last week’s rains and are now iced over.
