Brinnon and Quilcene school boards have approved their budgets for the 2002-2003 school year as presented at meetings last week.
The Quilcene School District approved a $2.59 million budget. Brinnon’s totals $869,000.
Both districts received $100,000 in federal grants to help economically distressed schools maintain and repair buildings.
Brinnon plans to use the funds to maintain its school’s water and septic systems, repair curbing and improve roof drainage.
The Quilcene district will repair heating and ventilation systems in the elementary school.
