CLALLAM BAY — Inmates at Clallam Bay Corrections Center began returning to work, education and religious programs Friday after a three-day lockdown and comprehensive search ended.
The prison had been on lockdown since Tuesday after William Baker, 30, allegedly assaulted inmates Lonnie Cox, 40, and Richard Johnson, 35, with a makeshift weapon.
Cox was transported to Olympic Medical Center with wounds to the chest and head.
He was in good condition, the prison said.
The Clallam County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the attack.
Specialty teams from five other prisons assisted Clallam Bay staff with searching the facility following the assault, a statement from the prison said.
The statement said normal operations at the prison resumed Friday afternoon.
