Applications due Sept. 16 for open position on Clallam County’s Disability Board

PORT ANGELES — Clallam County’s Disability Board is accepting applications for its public at-large representative position.

Applications must be submitted to the county’s Human Resources Office, Clallam County Courthouse basement, 223 E. Fourth St., Suite 16, by 4:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 16.

Applications are available at the office.

Applicants must reside within Clallam County.

Disability board duties include review of medical claims and requests for disability leave and retirement by LEOFF 1 members (law enforcement officers and firefighters who entered service before Oct. 1, 1977), according to a news release.

The term runs for two years, with quarterly meetings on the third Tuesday of January, April, July and October at 9 a.m. in the courthouse.
