Americorps members have been working in Port Townsend this week to rid the roadsides of the invasive poison hemlock.
On Thursday, Caitlynn Hall (left) Washington Conservation Corps crew chief Stephen Richardson, and Vanessa Beck pulled quite a bit of the weed along Water Street which will be cold composted.
The WCC is part of the Department of Ecology with the mission to enhance natural resources while giving opportunities to students and military veterans.
The crew is off next week to map noxious weeds using GPS points at the Keta Rhododendron Preserve in Bremerton.
