PORT TOWNSEND — The state Utilities and Transportation Commission lifted its suspension of Pennco Transportation Inc.’s airport shuttle service Wednesday after the company showed proof of insurance.
“We received a filing earlier today,” said Bonnie Allen, a utilities commission regulatory analysts in the agency’s transportation division.
“We have proof of insurance again. That was the issue.”
Allen said, as expected, Pennco’s insurer, Bell-Anderson Insurance of Tacoma, filed for certification and showed that the company could come up with the state-required liability and damage coverage necessary to operate.
The company was seeking coverage through the risk pool.
