About 100 take part in Family Night at Clallam County YMCA

11The gathering was a special after-hours free Family Night for both paid members and those who wanted to get a taste of the activities available at the YMCA at 302 S. Francis St., in Port Angeles.

Nintendo Wii Sports, CrossFit Families training, family play PlayCare, board games and Valentine’s Day crafts, Zumba — exercise that’s also a dance — and rocking tunes and interval training in the fitness center were offered.

The YMCA in Port Angeles is open from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.

Those in Port Townsend also can play at the Y.

The Jefferson County Family YMCA — which is at Mountain View Commons, 1919 Blaine St. — is a branch of the Clallam County Family YMCA in Port Angeles.

Hours may vary, the Web site www.jeffymca.org/default.html says, but are usually from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
