CARLSBORG — A 21-year-old Seattle man was transported to Olympic Medical Center on Thursday with moderate injuries after the motorcycle he was riding and a pickup truck collided in Carlsborg.
Emergency crews from Clallam County Fire District No. 3 arrived at the scene of the wreck at Mill Road just south of the intersection with East Runnion Road at 1:57 p.m. to find the man alert, talking and lying roughly 10 feet from his motorcycle, fire department spokesman Patrick Young said.
The man’s name was not immediately available Thursday.
Young said the man was taken to OMC with what appeared to be lacerations to his hands and possible other injuries.
“The medics said they were not life-threatening injuries, though,” Young said.
The driver of the truck, who also was not identified, was not injured, Young said.
The Clallam County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the cause of the wreck, Chief Criminal Deputy Ron Cameron said.
