Review a book, get a free latte

PORT TOWNSEND — As we slide in to summer, the Port Townsend Library is gathering book reviews from “regular” folks and providing a little refreshment in return.

As part of the Adult Summer Reading Program supported by Friends of the Library and the Undertown Cafe, “literary latte” coupons are being offered to readers who turn in to the library three short reviews of books they’ve read.

These coupons are good for the espresso drinks of the reader’s choice from the Undertown Cafe, 211 Taylor St.

Forms for reviewers are available at the library, 1220 Lawrence St. in uptown Port Townsend.

The library is open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Fridays, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays and from 1 p.m. to

5 p.m. Sundays.

Participants in the literary-latte program will be entered in a drawing for a Port Townsend Library tote bag filled with gifts.

Also, their book reviews will be considered for publication in the library’s “Pageturners” blog, edited by Kathleen Hawn, a member of Friends of the Library.

Readers can see which books their neighbors are enjoying by clicking on the Pageturners link on the library’s home page, www.ptpubliclibrary.org.

The Port Townsend Library is also offering two Sony e-readers for checkout to patrons who want to try them out. For details, visit the reference desk.

The library also can be reached at 360-385-3181.
