Deck the Docks contest voting to be held Friday

PORT ANGELES — The Port Angeles Yacht Club invites the public to visit the Port Angeles Boat Haven from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday to vote in the 2021 Deck the Docks contest.

Ballots, as well as cookies, hot cocoa and cider, can be picked up at the clubhouse, 1305 Marine Drive.

This year’s theme is Mele Kalikimaka, Hawaiian Christmas.

Decorations must remain up through the month of December.

Any boat in the marina is eligible to enter; winners will receive a $20 credit for electricity in January.

Prizes will be awarded to the vessels with the most votes in three categories, best powerboat, best sailboat and most representative of the theme.

The port commissioners will select a fourth winner.

All ballots must be submitted, in person, on Friday evening.

Winners will be announced, and posted to Facebook, at 9 p.m.
