LETTERS: Workers left holding the bag for federal deficit

So, how are your Trump/Bush/Reagan tax break giveaways for the rich working out for you?

Looking at moving up to a Bentley this year?

Perhaps making a down payment for that nice little Belize beach bungalow you been looking at?

What’s that you say, you feel like you’ve been spinning your wheels for quite a while now?

Well, that’s because you’re not rich, you’re a worker and, as Republican capitalistic theory goes, you can’t have a well-to-do worker class.

It’s not just the Republican logic of funneling our nation’s wealth up to the rich, it’s about keeping the working class in a submissive, needy situation so that when they crack the whip, the working class salutes and jumps high.

And do you remember when we had a federal budget that was in the black?

That last happened during the Clinton Democratic administration.

And Trump, being a loyal Republican deficit spender, has followed suit.

This is the Republican ethos — funnel wealth up to the rich, blow out the federal budget leaving us workers holding the bag.

But hey, just watch how high we workers jump, in full salute.
