LETTER:Robin Hood?

The nobility lived in luxury while the poor were hungry and cold.

In folklore, Robin Hood came out of the forest to rob the rich and help the poor.

The smash-and-grab gangs are reprising that role by robbing the luxury stores that cater to the rich.

Is it wrong?

Of course.

Do they have any options?

Not really.

The rich and powerful keep taking more and more of our country’s wealth for themselves by underpaying taxes and robbing our natural resources.

Our congressional representatives wring their hands to us but reach with open hands to their rich managers.

People often make bad choices when there are no good choices available.

Maybe the smash-and-grab gangs will become folk heroes, alongside Robin Hood, in our nation’s history.
