LETTER:Consider carefully

Now that we have our ballots, I would make a suggestion for something to do before you mark your ballot.

Please attend a debate, mostly online, or go to www.vote411.com and read what the candidates are saying.

It is ridiculous to vote for or against a person because they belong to a political party.

Even more ridiculous is to vote for a person, male or female, with the expectation that they can cut taxes, fix the environment or lower your food and gas bills.

Vote for someone with whom you philosophically agree on issues.

No one person can solve a problem.

One person can work with others to make progress towards whatever you believe should be addressed.

It’s our job to do homework before we vote.
