LETTER: Nass raise

Concerning the Feb. 26 article “Nass raise is approved at 3 percent.”

Doug Nass, general manager of the PUD, gets a cost of living raise to $237,036 annually is astonishing.

Apparently it doesn’t include retirement compensation, but an added $2,000 per month covers the deferred compensation. Then add $500 a month for automobile allowance, and 49 days per year paid days off.

Really?

Praise goes out to Commissioner Jim Waddell for voting against this raise.

Shame on Commissioners Will Purser and David Anderson for approving it.

How much of my PUD monthly bill goes to padding Mr. Nass’ nest egg?
