LETTER: Cartoon offensive

I hope that I am not the only one offended by “The Family Circus” cartoon in the Dec. 21 Peninsula Daily News.

The phrase “Oh come, let us ignore Him…” seems to be referring to Santa Claus from the picture in the cartoon; however, the H in Him is capitalized and this usually refers to Jesus.

The cartoon is using a Christian song.

In today’s world where many are taking God out of everything, this seems like it has a hidden message to me.

I usually enjoy the cartoon, but not this one.

Please let its author know that this is offensive and not appreciated.
