Teen lounge, senior dance among events on the Peninsula on Tuesday

A teen lounge and a senior dance are among Tuesday’s activities on the North Olympic Peninsula.

Teen lounge

PORT ANGELES — The North Olympic Library System will host a teen lounge from 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday.

The lounge is open for young adults age 11 through 19 at the Port Angeles Library, 2210 S. Peabody St.

The free program runs Tuesdays through June 9 except for Feb. 25.

Senior dance

PORT ANGELES — Cat’s Meow will perform for a swing dance from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday.

The dance will be in the Port Angeles Senior and Community Center, 328 E. Seventh St.

Refreshments will be served from 8 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Admission is $5 per person; first-time attendees are admitted free.

CHIMACUM

Fruit Club to meet

CHIMACUM — Jim House will present “How to Grow an Espalier” to the North Olympic Fruit Club at 7 p.m. Tuesday.

The club, a chapter of the Western Cascade Fruit Society, meets monthly at the Tri-Area Community Center, 10 West Valley Road.

The meeting is free and open to the public; refreshments will be served.

Espaliers are fruit trees or ornamental shrubs that have been trained to grow flat against a wall.

PORT HADLOCK

Tech Tuesday

PORT HADLOCK — Library staff will present “Apps for New Year’s Resolutions” from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday.

The class is part of the Tech Tuesday series at the Jefferson County Library, 620 Cedar Ave.

Attendees will explore apps designed to keep you focused and help you to achieve goals such as get in shape, get organized, save money or manage stress.

Tech staff will be available from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. after the class for drop-in tech assistance with phones, tablets or other devices.
