Snowboarding films presented Friday

PORT ANGELES — “Sequencer” and “Trio Sonic,” films about snowboarding, will be shown at Studio Bob at 7 p.m. Friday.

Doors will open at the studio at 118½ E. Front St. at 6:30 p.m. Pro snowboarders Austen Sweetin, Cannon Cummins and Matteo Soltane will be at the event for a meet-and-greet and to sign some autographs. Admission is $8. Tickets are available at www.studiobob.art.

“Sequencer,” released by Quiksilver, showcases snowboarding by Sweetin, Travis Rice, Bryan Fox and others.

Sweetin also will show “Trio Sonic” with his cohorts Jacqui Shaffer and Zoe Vernon shredding the wild and woolly terrain of Alaska and Mount Baker.

Opening the evening will be a film by Paavo Saari.

A raffle and giveaways of gear are planned.

The event is for all ages and is family friendly. There will be a bar with both adult beverages and non-alcoholic sips.

It is sponsored by local companies: The Strait Slice Pizza Co., MOSS, Rainshadow Coffee Roasters, Evergreen Surf Shop and LIB TECH Snowboards.
