Mystery solved in Sequim whodunnit

SEQUIM — It was Memphis Spinzar, Kitty Sterling Sterling’s owner, whodunnit.

The eighth annual “Whodunnit Downtown?” mystery game was played during Sequim’s First Friday Art Walk last week.

Winners Jim and Marlene Lewis of Sequim received gifts from La Petite Maison Blanche, Over the Fence, and Dungeness Kids Co.

The “Whodunnit Downtown? — The Case of the Sterling Reputation,” written and produced by Renne Emiko Brock, was set on New Year’s Day 1986. The popular Kitty Sterling of MTV had been catnapped for ransom.

Participants picked up game cards at participating venues, filled them out and entered them into a drawing.

Serving as suspects were Kelly Phillips, Susan Baritelle, Ericak Albers, Sheri Whetstine, Julie Hembre, Susan Cates, Caitlin Knapple, Emily Westcott, and CaptainCrystal Stout.
