Music festival offers faith in hip-hop, rap

SEQUIM — Internal Grind Ministries will sponsor the inaugural Rise Up Music Festival from at 12:30 p.m. May 22.

The free Christian rap and hip-hop music festival is set for Sequim Valley Airport, 468 Dorothy Hunt Lane.

The Internal Grind, a faith-based gym in Agnew, is co-sponsoring the outreach event with La Vina Outreach and Promise of Life Cafe.

The festival will feature music and testimonials by RRR Ministries, Taylor Martin, J. Rich, Justin Vaughn, Mike Servin, Kurtis Hoppie, Chris N. Desiree and Meezilini Tha Messenger.

Event organizers are expecting 200 to 300 attendees and are coordinating with Clallam County Health and Human Services to ensure that the festival complies with public health guidelines.
