Floral Design + Still Life workshop at Fort Worden

PORT TOWNSEND — The nonprofit Northwind Art School will offer “Floral Design + Still Life,” a dual art workshop, on Sunday while urging participants to sign up early to ensure enrollment.

Local flower farmer Emmy Gran and Port Townsend artist Suzanne Lamon are co-teaching the class from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the school, which is in Building 324 at Fort Worden State Park. The course has been discounted to $105.

No previous art experience is required. Participants will learn naturalistic floral design with dahlias, grasses, marigolds, cosmos and other fall blooms, and then create a still life in the art medium of their choice.

For information about this and other autumnal classes, see https://northwindart.org and click on the Courses page.
