Corvidae print exhibit opens Monday

PORT TOWNSEND — A new exhibit featuring prints by artists from Corvidae, the printers’ guild that is part of the Creative Alliance at Centrum in Fort Worden State Park, will be on view at the Uptown Dental Clinic.

From Monday through July 6, visitors to the clinic, at 642 Harrison St. in Port Townsend, can view contemporary prints by 11 local artists. The exhibit is free.

Printing methods include etchings from copper plates, solar plates and photopolymer plates, linoleum cutting, calligraphy, chine collé, multi-media monotype, collage and silk screening. Corvidae is a nontoxic printmaking studio that was founded in 2006.

The artists include Lauretta Frost, Jay Haskins, Andrea K. Lawson, Jayne Marek, Peg Masters, Loreen Matsushima, Sharon Schlentner, Darby Smith, Ed Thompson Jr., Margaret Woodcock and Patricia Zukas.

Uptown Dental Clinic is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
