Community Conversation series to feature book launch

PORT ANGELES — First Fed will host a book launch for John Gussman’s “Ten Years After: A Photographic Journey of the Elwha River,” at 6 p.m. Monday.

The celebration, part of the First Fed Community Conversations series, will be at the Sunset Lounge at Field Arts & Event Hall, 201 W. Front St. in Port Angeles.

The event will feature a presentation and Q&A session with John Gussman, followed by a book signing.

Gussman’s book chronicles the changes on the Elwha River in the 10 years since the removal of the Elwha River and Glines Canyon dams.

Gussman, a photographer whose work focuses on landscapes, people, wildlife and the outdoor lifestyle, uses aerial drones for innovative perspectives.

Attendance is free, but RSVPs are appreciated at www.fieldhallevents.org/tickets.
