Port Angeles School District launches community survey

Refers to 2025 bond measure

PORT ANGELES — The Port Angeles School District has launched a community-wide survey for all residents in the district regarding the strategic planning process and educational needs for students, which includes seeking input on its capital plan.

The anonymous survey is at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/QNQG7VW. Paper copies are available at the Port Angeles Public Library at 2210 S. Peabody St. The survey will be available until 5 p.m. April 11.

The survey includes a list of 13 possible priorities ranging from Career and Technical Education opportunities to physical facilities for students to access to technology. Survey-takers are allowed to mark three choices.

Also among the questions is: “The Port Angeles School District is planning a bond campaign in 2025 to replace Franklin Elementary and renovate a major portion of Port Angeles High School. Are you familiar with PASD’s 30-year Capital Plan to improve schools in our district?”

“With your input, the strategic planning process will define the decisions and actions that shape and guide the future direction for the school district over the next several years,” a press release form the district says.

”We will share the survey results with our community on our website and use the information to inform Focus Groups once they are compiled.”

Residents who need help in filling out the form are urged to contact their neighborhood schools.
