PORT ANGELES — Capt. Crystal Birks has been assigned as the Corps Officer in Port Angeles.

The playground equipment was reopened on Monday after being closed by the Port Angeles Parks Department in September 2022 after numerous tiles on the play surface became dislodged, creating a trip hazard for playground users. Delays ensued acquiring specialized glue and replacement tiles while waiting for adequate weather to complete the project.

The festival was half inside the grange and half outside with many vendors with sheep, goats and llamas and related products. 			  Cyndie Stumbaugh who has directed the festival for years recalls that it started back in 1980 but missed the last three years because of COVID.
