Port Angeles’ Camaraderie Cellars wins platinum, gold awards

PORT ANGELES — Six wines from Camaraderie Cellars have won either platinum or double-gold awards at the 21st Platinum Competition staged by Wine Press Northwest magazine.

The winery’s platinum winners were its 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon and its 2017 Grace, a Bordeaux-style blend.

Four of its other wines — 2016 Syrah, 2017 Cabernet Franc, 2017 Tempranillo and 2010 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon — earned double-gold awards.

The annual competition is open by invitation to Pacific Northwest wines that have won gold or double-gold awards at U.S. competitions during the previous year.

Double-gold awards indicate that judges unanimously assigned a gold rating to a particular wine.

Camaraderie’s wines can be purchased online or by appointment at the winery’s 334 Benson Road location.
