Exciting events ahead in Jefferson County

WHAT A WEIRD Spring? We wearing down jackets in April and wondering if we’re going to go from winter directly into summer.

Our visitor count is quite high for this early in the season, despite the strange weather. Did you print new brochures or rack cards for 2023? So, do we have your latest and greatest marketing materials, photos or video shorts at our Visitors Center? We are always looking for new imagery for our EnjoyPT pages and would love to showcase you.

We not only have our advertising kiosks outside the Chamber but also send digital visitor packs and will be featuring many more short videos on EnjoyPT so don’t hesitate to send your promotions our way. We exist as the DMO for the city to help you grow your business and quality of life for resident and visitors alike.

The wait is over! We are thrilled to announce that events are returning to JeffCo and we have some exciting ones to look forward to. Mark your calendars for the upcoming Chamber Cafes on June 23 featuring Jefferson Transit and June 16, Fort Worden Hospitality.

And for all you cycling enthusiasts, there is a new event this year, Tour D ‘Farm in July for a unique and active way to experience our local farms, the Farmers Market and Wilderbee as well. Details will begin appearing on the Chamber website, so check in often.

In August we have the Seattle Bicycle Club back for their second year of exploration in JeffCo with almost double the cyclists from last year. Just a heads up! We’re putting together a new bikeable guide for our Enjoy site so if you have a farm, shop or experience you think should be included, reach out to us.

Also on June 16 weekend, back better than ever, the Brass Screw Consortium Steampunk Festival, Concerts on the Dock will be back rocking again and Centrum’s 2023 Summer Season will be in full swing.

Check out the Chamber Music Workshops in June and enjoy Free Fridays, concerts on the green at Fort Worden Commons. In July Centrum features the always-popular Fiddles Tunes Festival. Help them celebrate their 50th anniversary with the Diana Krall Concert in the McCurdy Pavilion and their Centrum Gala.

The Northwest School of Wooden BoatBuilding (ACCSC) will be restarting their tours for the summer. If you’ve always wondered how to build a boat or what this campus was all about, this is a timely opportunity.

It’s time to be on the water in PT so check out the happenings at Northwest Maritime Center. Seventy48 2023. Seventy miles in 48 hours, the Classic Mariners Regatta 2023 featuring beautiful wooden boats and high-caliber sailors and R2AK, the no motor, no support race navigating 750 cold-water miles from Port Townsend to Ketchikan, Alaska.

Check our calendar often for updates and returning events and get ready to explore and enjoy all that JeffCo has to offer!
