BUSINESS BRIEFS: ‘Yarnival’ this Saturday to celebrate business’ sixth year … and other items

PORT ANGELES — Cabled Fiber and Yarn, located at 125 E. First St., will celebrate the beginning of its sixth year in business by hosting a “Yarnival” from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday.

The free event, scheduled from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., will feature carnival games with a yarn twist and a seasonal needle felting activity

There will be door prizes from Cascade Yarns and other vendors.

Gallery gala set

SEQUIM — Blue Whole Gallery, 129 W. Washington St., will host a gala and open house from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 11.

On display will art produced by members of the 19-year co-operative gallery.

Two-dimensional and three-dimensional art will be represented.

The event will be free, with refreshments and a silent auction.

Tuesday: Candidate forum with Steve Tharinger and John Alger, candidates for state representative Position 2.

Wednesday: Candidate forum with Randy Johnson and Ron Richards, Clallam County commissioner District 2 hopefuls.

Thursday: Len Borchers discusses the grand opening of the new YMCA facility in Sequim.

Second segment: Sandy Lawrence for Soroptimist International of Sequim discusses an event for mature women called SHE, or Soroptimist Helping and Empowering.

Third segment: Healthy Families of Clallam County Executive Director Becca Korby discusses Domestic Violence Awareness Month.
