PORT ANGELES — The Port Angeles Business Association elected its officers and directors for 2017. They are:
President — Kevin Hoult, certified business adviser, Washington Small Business Development Center, Port Angeles.
Vice President — Matthew Rainwater, agent, U.S. Border Patrol.
Treasurer — Jon Fager, retired international nuclear inspector.
Secretary — Peggy Norris, retired Port Angeles Public Library reference librarian.
Board of directors:
Jim McEntire, former Clallam County commissioner and former Port of Port Angeles commissioner; former member of the state Board of Natural Resources.
Ted Simpson, co-owner of Angeles Electric, one of the three Clallam County Public Utility District commissioners and 2010 president of PABA.
Deborah Spinks, realtor and partner to Brody Broker at JACE Real Estate Sequim.
John Brewer, retired publisher and editor of the Peninsula Daily News and PABA’s 2016 president.
Funding applications
PORT TOWNSEND — Applications for 2017 funding from United Good Neighbors (UGN) are due Feb. 15.
Certification forms are due on or before Jan. 16.
Health and human services organizations serving Jefferson County clients are eligible to apply.
Previously funded organizations are asked to update their basic organizational information with their application.
UGN raises funds in the community to allocate to programs that provide emergency food, shelter and health care and to programs that provide preventive services such as early childhood and youth programs.
Donations to UGN can be made year-round through the website or by mail to 201 W. Patison St., Suite B, Port Hadlock.
