PORT ANGELES — Four Olympic Medical Center employees were honored for their legislative advocacy efforts in Olympia.
Laurie Elmer, RN, obstetrics; Jeana Hutton, RN, intensive care unit; Patty Wood, medical lab technologist and specialist; and Nancy Dahll, ultrasound technologist, each received a recognition award from OMC CEO Eric Lewis.
The employees were honored during an April board of commissioners meeting.
Elmer, Hutton, Wood and Dahll spent their time with officials in meetings sharing perspectives which included — but were not limited to — explaining the importance of OMC as a community safety net hospital and the cruciality of adequate reimbursement for patient services, according to a news release.
