UPDATED — All quiet at Eighth Street bridges this morning, Port Angeles police say

PORT ANGELES — All was quiet at the Eighth Street bridges early today (Wednesday), according to Port Angeles police.

A commenter on Facebook reported seeing police and ambulances on Valley Street under the eastern bridge, and others speculated that perhaps someone had jumped from a bridge.

“I didn’t hear of anything,” said Port Angeles Sgt. Barb McFall, who was on duty this morning.

“Nothing shows up on our computer.”

“It didn’t rise to level of me being notified,” added Deputy Police Chief Brian Smith.
