BUSINESS BRIEF: Sequim-Dungeness Valley Chamber of Commerce to hear talk on Black Ball Ferry Line at today’s meeting

SEQUIM — The history and current status of Black Ball Ferry Line, operator of the MV Coho on the Port Angeles-Victoria route, will be discussed at today’s meeting of the Sequim-Dungeness Valley Chamber of Commerce.
January’s second of the chamber’s twice-monthly luncheon meetings will start at 11:45 p.m. at SunLand Golf & Country Club, 109 Hilltop Drive, Sequim.
Guest speaker Ryan Malane, vice president of Black Ball, will talk about the maritime name that dates back two centuries.
The latest incarnation of the company, based in Victoria, operates the Coho, which was launched in 1959.
The meeting sponsor is Wilder Auto.
Although the RSVP deadline for lunch has passed, there are seats available for walk-ins.
