PORT TOWNSEND — Workers from Nickel Brothers Industrial, a house-moving company, removed the two support beams from the Cherry Street apartment complex in Port Townsend on Monday after the building was placed on its permanent foundation. The city has partnered with an affordable housing group, Homeward Bound, to complete the low-income housing building, which was floated in from Victoria in May 2017. Pacific Environmental, a local company based in the city’s Glen Cove section, is heading up the project.
