Studium General series to wrap up with talk on ‘Empathy’

PORT ANGELES — Janet Lucas will present “What We Talk About When We Talk About Empathy” at 12:35 p.m. Thursday.

Lucas’ presentation will complete the Studium Generale winter lecture series at the Little Theater at Peninsula College’s Port Angeles campus, 1502 E. Laurisden Blvd.

The presentation also will stream at https://pencol-edu.zoom.us/j/82887567433.

Lucas will explore the evolution of the definition of empathy, how oversimplified interpretations of empathy are used to undermine it in academic and political discourse, and why empathy continues to matter.
