Port Angeles offering utility assistance for those affected by mill closure

PORT ANGELES — The city of Port Angeles is offering utility payment assistance to residents affected by the closure of the McKinley Paper Mill.

Payment assistance options may include:

• A waiver on utility interest for up to one year.

• Payment plans for past-due balances.

• Discounted utility rates.

• Grant funding for past-due balances.
