Sol Duc Bridge work begins Tuesday

PORT ANGELES — State Department of Transportation work crews will repair an expansion joint on a U.S. Highway 101 bridge across the Sol Duc River beginning this morning.

The bridge is at milepost 211.5, approximately 7 miles east of the intersection with state Highway 113.

Travelers can expect alternating single-lane traffic through the construction zone around the clock.

The project is expected to be complete in early November.
