FORKS — Contractor crews working for the Department of Transportation have placed a temporary signal near milepost 206 on U.S. Highway 101 just east of the intersection of state Highway 113.

The signal, which will operate around the clock through mid-June, will control alternating single-lane traffic on the bridge across Bear Creek.

The repairs to the bridge’s decking are part of a larger project of chip sealing and bridge repairs being performed by Doolittle Construction, LLC of Bellevue.
