Volunteers needed to deliver meals on the Peninsula

Olympic Community Action Programs is recruiting volunteers for its Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP).

The program is looking for drivers to deliver meals to home-bound seniors in Clallam and Jefferson counties.

A permanent driver and two on-call substitute drivers are needed in the Port Angeles area from 9:30 a.m. to approximately noon on Thursdays.

One or two drivers also are needed in the Port Hadlock/Chimacum/Port Ludlow area from 9:30 a.m. to approximately noon, two Tuesdays per month.

RSVP drivers use personal vehicles and must have a current driver’s license and proof of insurance. Volunteers must be 55-years or older and complete an application packet, which includes a background check.
