The Food Co-op General Manager Kenna Eaton and Co-op Board President Owen Rowe cut the ribbon officially opening the newly expanded store Friday afternoon in Port Townsend.

The ribbon is held by The Chamber of Jefferson County members Betty Oakes, left, and Pam Lampman, while surrounded by members of the community and other chamber members.

The Food Co-op has been under construction for the last year and a half, as it expanded 3,000 square feet. Pearson Construction handled the upgrade and was able to work around the Food Co-op being open. The store did not close a single day due to construction, Eaton said.
